AFL's LL-Series, Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH) Loose Tube cables are designed for use in networking applications that require low-smoke, low-toxicity yet highly flame-retardant components. The design of this cable line was developed with specific focus on installation environments that require these enhance attributes to further reduce life-safety hazards to personnel in the event of a fire-emergency. The basic construction of the LL-Series follows industry accepted practices that include FRP central strength member, gel-filled water-blocked buffer tubes, S-Z stranded core with dry water-block and outer Jacket. The armored option is designed with a corrugated steel layer over an inner jacket with a second, LSZH outer jacket.
